The gasoline Chevrolet Blazer will be discontinued

General Motors will abandon the gasoline Chevrolet Blazer. The famous model is planned to be discontinued this year. This is reported by the GM Authority website.

Production of the Chevrolet Blazer at a plant in Mexico may be stopped as early as the first half of the year – by the beginning of the 2026 model year (in North America it begins in the fall). Currently, this is the only gasoline model produced at this plant.

Mexico also produces the Chevrolet Blazer EV electric car, which has nothing in common with its gasoline namesake and will remain on the assembly line. In addition, the electric Chevrolet Equinox EV, Cadillac Optiq and Honda Prologue are assembled there. The abandonment of the gasoline Blazer will allow the plant to completely switch to the production of electric cars.
