The Chevrolet Montana compact pickup, which entered the market in 2003, is preparing to change its generation. They intend to present the novelty at the beginning of 2023, but for now it is undergoing road tests. It was on them that the pictures of the prototype were taken.

The model has been radically redesigned. She received a more angular body, an elongated hood and an enlarged cabin. The pickup also got a new grille and two-story LED optics. The window line is curved, and the wheel arches are square.

According to insiders, a new generation of a pickup truck was built on the same platform as the Chevrolet Tracker crossover. Presumably, the novelty will reach 4.5-4.7 meters in length. Chevrolet Montana will be supplied with a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo engine with 133 hp. They will also offer versions with 1.3- and 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo engines with 163 and 184 hp.

The production of a new generation of pickup trucks will be established in Brazil. Its cost will start from $20,000. The company calls the model a competitor to the Renault Duster Oroch.
