Chevrolet's cheapest pickup uncovered - Montana

The small Chevrolet Montana pickup has no frame and is built on the platform of the Tracker crossover. The cost of the model is about $20,000.

Images of Chevrolet Montana have appeared in the Internet. A compact budget pickup will be presented at the end of this year or early 2023. This is what the official website of General Motors reports.

The new Chevrolet Montana will be the most compact pickup of the American brand – about 4.5-4.7 meters long. It is built on a platform of crossover Chevrolet Tracker, which can appear in Ukraine soon. Unlike its older brothers, the Montana is not a frame – it has a flatbed body.

The Chevrolet Montana is now being tested

Design of the Chevrolet Montana is very expressive. A wide grille is combined with “double-deck” LED headlights. The wheel arches are slightly widened and the window line is curved.

At first, the Chevrolet Montana pickup will get only a modest 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine rated at 133 hp. Later, a 1.3 liter (163 hp) and 1.5 liter (184 hp) turbo four could be added to the range. The model will be available with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission, but the drive will be only front.

At the moment the new Chevrolet Montana is being tested. It will be the most affordable pickup of the American brand – its cost will be less than $20,000, and the main competitor of the model is called Renault Duster Oroch. Production of the model will be set up in Brazil and plans to actively export it to other countries.
