Chevrolet introduced an electric crossover Blazer for $45,000

Concern General Motors presented an electric version of the mid-size crossover Chevrolet Blazer. The novelty with the prefix EV in the name only remotely resembles a fuel counterpart. She has the same sportiness in appearance, but the proportions and shapes are completely different.

The electric car has a smooth waist line, an elongated windshield, a long hood and a flat roof. The novelty will be available in versions 1LT, 2LT, RS and SS. All of them will get their own unique look. These options have in common: narrow LED headlights, a stylish cap in place of the radiator grille, large wheels, taillights of original shape and a plastic body kit.

The LT version has a monochrome exterior and standard 19-inch wheels, while the RS gets a black grille, dark glossy fascia, aerodynamic side skirts, 21-inch wheels, a glowing butterfly emblem and a center LED strip. The charging port cover deserves special attention. Engineers have made it as convenient as possible, as owners will have to open it more often than in a fuel car. The port cover is located in front of the driver’s door and opens automatically with a light touch of the hand.

The interior of the model looks just as stylish as the exterior. The cabin equipment includes an 11-inch digital instrument panel, a multimedia system with a 17.7-inch screen and a navigation system that identifies charging stations along the route. The RS and SS versions received a flat-bottomed steering wheel and heated and ventilated front seats. In the top version of the electric crossover, the trim is made of Adrenaline Red microfiber.

The Blazer EV will be offered with the Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system. The Driver Assistance Package also includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning and Lane Keeping Assist.

The entry-level Blazer EV 1LT will come exclusively with front-wheel drive and offer a range of up to 400 km. The 2LT version also comes standard with front-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive will be optional. The power reserve of the model in this version is increased to 472 km.
