2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Owner's Manual
The 2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 coupe can choose from four power units, tied to the versions of the car. The base is a 2-liter turbo engine developing 275 hp. An atmospheric 3.6-liter V6 developing 335 “horses” comes next in the lineup. The simpler 1LS, 1LT and 2LT configurations are available with these engines. The 1SS and 2SS models are available only with a 6.2-liter Corvette “eight”, producing 455 hp. These cars differ from the basic ones by exterior design and interior details. At the top of the range is the ZL1 version with the same 6.2-liter engine, boosted to 650 hp and 881 Nm of torque. There’s no way to confuse this version with another: it has a more aggressive bodykit and four exhaust pipes. All cars have rear-wheel drive, manual transmission (6 steps) and automatic transmission with paddles – 8 or 10 steps (the latter is only available for ZL1).
In addition to larger engines, the “senior” versions of the cars can boast disc brakes Brembo, the ability to select driving modes (including manual settings) Driver Mode Selector, the function Launch Control, shock absorbers with electronically controlled Magnetic Ride, as well as the gearbox with the function of overrun control.
The base Camaro is already equipped with eight airbags, a stabilisation system, a 7-inch touchscreen multimedia system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, a rear-view camera, climate and cruise control, a 6-speaker audio system as well as electrically adjustable seats (8-way driver’s seat).
