The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS has a standard 3.6-liter V6 engine with up to 304 horsepower. A manual transmission is standard, and there is an available automatic transmission. The 6.2-liter V8 engine complements the high-performance Camaro SS wonderfully. Although reviewers noted that the Camaro isn’t as fast, drivers, after a test drive, said it’s one of the most powerful base engines in the class. They added that this model rides softer over bumps than the Mustang. The 2010 Camaro consumes up to 17/29 miles per gallon, which is higher than the class average.
