The creators of the Spark EV have gone to great lengths to ensure that the electric car’s lithium-ion battery pack is as efficient as possible. The Chevrolet Spark EV is powered by a permanent magnet, oil-cooled electric motor, delivering 110 kW of power and 542 Nm of torque, enabling it to reach 100 km/h in about eight seconds. With a battery capacity of more than 20 kWh, the car can go a respectable distance without recharging but when it needs to be recharged it can be up to 80% of its capacity in just 20 minutes using a special powerful charger with a SAE Combo socket or a 240-volt outlet.
