2014 Chevrolet Spark Owner's Manual
The Chevrolet Spark is a front-wheel drive Class A hatchback. The restyled third-generation model made its debut at the Paris Motor Show at the end of September 2012.
To refresh the look of the Spark, Chevrolet designers revised the shape of the grille, front bumper, headlights and fog lights. And that, by and large, was enough, although there are other innovations. For example, 14- and 15-inch alloy wheels, central LED brake light which has been moved to the spoiler above the boot door glass and so on. Changes inside the car include a new centre console with additional storage compartment.
The Spark is based on GM’s DAT platform with McPherson struts at the front and a torsion beam at the rear. With a wheelbase of 2375mm and an overall length of 3640mm, it offers the widest legroom in its class and the widest width at hip level. The seats are upholstered in bright, contrasting fabrics and top-of-the-range configurations feature French stitching.
The Spark’s extensive equipment list includes a height-adjustable driver’s seat, tilt-adjustable steering column, power front door windows, heated front seats, audio controls on the steering wheel, electrically controlled and heated exterior mirrors, a trip computer, and heated windshield wiper blade locations.
The Chevrolet Spark is available with 1.0-litre or 1.2-litre petrol engines (68 and 82 bhp respectively). Both engines provide fuel consumption of 5 litres per 100 km in the mixed cycle and carbon dioxide emission level of 118 g/km. The engines are mated to a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.
