2007 Chevrolet Malibu Owner's Manual

The Chevrolet Malibu is a front-wheel-drive Class D sedan based on the General Motors Epsilon II global platform. The world premiere of the eighth generation model took place at the Shanghai Motor Show in April 2011.

Working on the new generation of Malibu, American designers tried to give the car more aggressiveness in the image. That’s why some of its elements are similar to the legendary Camaro, but it’s only a superficial resemblance. Careful work on every detail of the body has made it possible to achieve good aerodynamic performance. For example, the sedan’s drag coefficient is 0.28, and special flaps are installed at the front of the car to improve the flow and distribution of air flows.

The eighth-generation Malibu is 13 mm shorter than its predecessor, 68 mm wider and 12 mm lower (4,859, 1,854 and 1,462 mm, respectively). Length of wheelbase diminished from 2852 to 2738 mm, but the basic “bogie” design remains the same – McPherson struts in front and “multilever” behind. However, the suspension geometry has been reconfigured, other shock absorbers and silent blocks have been installed and the steering is equipped with electric booster.
