Chevrolet Spark ACTIV is a front-wheel drive Class A hatchback with a pseudo-crossover styling. The model is based on the fourth generation Spark. The car was unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show on 14 November 2016.

The ACTIV version of the hatchback differs from the basic model primarily by its pseudo-crossover styling, which includes a black overlay of unpainted plastic on the front bumper, a rear bumper made in the same style, black overlays on the moldings and wheel arches. The contrasting grey ‘protective’ elements on the black surfaces are also part of this design. In addition, the fog lights have a round shape, a different style of the grille, roof rails appeared, and only for this version is available custom wheel design.

As for the interior design of the Chevrolet Spark Active, it does not differ from the basic model’s interior design (except for leatherette upholstery): behind the familiar in other models of the brand is the instrument panel with analog scales (large speedometer in the centre) and board computer display. In the centre there is a 7-inch touchscreen multimedia system (with Apple Car Play and Android Auto support), below there is a climate control unit, made in the form of three rotary knobs. The rear sofa can accommodate two passengers and there is a recess in the middle of the sofa itself with a trivia pocket and cup holder. The backrest can be folded down in a 60:40 ratio. The luggage compartment provides 314 litres of volume with the rear sofa up and 770 litres with it folded down.

Only one engine is available for the vehicle. This is a 1.4-liter petrol engine of the ECOTEC family with multi-point fuel injection. It provides 99 hp and 127 Nm of torque. It can be coupled either with a 5-speed manual or a variator type gearbox. The drive, despite of “fighting” appearance, is only front, though it is necessary to notice that the clearance of the automobile is increased by 10 mm.

Basic equipment of Chevrolet Spark ACTIV includes 10 airbags, StabiliTrak system (includes ESP and traction control), hill start assistant, tyre pressure sensor, keyless access system, air conditioner, heated front seats, cruise control, rear view camera, multimedia system with six speakers, 4G LTE Wi-Fi spot.
