As for the running gear of restyled Chevrolet Traverse, the engineers did not touch it in principle. As before, the truck used independent suspension of all four wheels, but the shock absorbers were retuned for smoother running at low speeds. In the front, for example, there are rebound springs.

The Chevrolet Traverse is powered by a 3.6-litre V6 petrol engine. The engine is equipped with direct fuel injection and variable valve timing mechanism and produces 281 hp of power and 361 Nm of torque. However, there is also a version with an improved exhaust system, due to which the output increases to 288 hp and 366 Nm. Due to this engine, Traverse is able to pull not only 2138-2248 kg of its own weight, but also a trailer weighing 2358 kg. And all this with 11.5-12.1 litres of fuel consumption per 100 kilometers in the combined cycle (depending on the type of drive). But the car has only one gearbox – 6-speed automatic Hydra-Matic 6T75.
