Chevrolet SS (Chevy SS) – rear-wheel drive sedan class “E”. The debut of the model took place at the Daytona International Speedway in February 2013.

The letters SS (Super Sport) in the history of Chevrolet occupy a significant place. Under them, the American company produced special versions of some of its legendary cars, and now this story continues. True, the Chevrolet SS is no longer an appendage to some car, but an independent model created by engineers on a rear-wheel drive platform with McPherson struts in the front suspension and a multi-link rear design. The same platform, by the way, underlies the Holden VF Commodore (the twin brother of the Chevrolet SS) and the Chevrolet Camaro.

One of the most important tasks that the creators of the Chevrolet SS set themselves was to endow the car with responsiveness in control. For this, sporty power steering settings were used, the center of gravity was reduced as much as possible, an almost ideal weight distribution along the axles was selected, and so on. And so that the sedan not only drove, but also stopped quickly, the engineers used Brembo brakes with front discs with a diameter of 355 mm. The car stands on forged alloy wheels, “shod” in Bridgestone tires measuring 245/40 R19 at the front and 275/35 R19 at the rear.
