The youth crossover Chevrolet Trax, which entered the market in 2012, changed generations. The basis of the model was a new platform and it has significantly increased in size.

In particular, the novelty has become 279 mm longer and 51 mm wider than its predecessor. Its wheelbase has increased by 152 mm. Now the dimensions of the crossover are: length – 4537 mm, height – 1564 mm, width – 1823 mm, wheelbase – 2700 mm.

The car has a sharp silhouette with a sloping coupe-like roof. He also got two-tiered headlights, a massive radiator grill, large taillights, wide wheel arches and a large rear spoiler. The new Trax rides on 17-inch aluminum wheels.

The interior of the crossover is distinguished by a modern high-class design. Its equipment includes an 8-inch digital instrument panel, a multimedia system with an 11-inch screen and support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The model also received an automatic climate control system, push-button engine start, heated seats and an electric drive. Also included is a suite of Chevy Safety Assist driver assistance systems, a rearview camera, and adaptive cruise control.

The novelty is available in the following trim levels: LT, 1RS, 2RS and ACTIV. They differ in equipment and interior decoration.

A 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo engine with a power of 137 hp is installed under the hood of the model. and 219 Nm of torque, which is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission and a front-wheel drive system. Acceleration from standstill to “hundreds” takes 8.6 seconds, which is about one second faster than in the previous version.

The 2024 Chevrolet Trax will go on sale early next year with prices starting at $21,000.
