1998 Chevrolet Cavalier Owner's Manual
The 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier is a five-seat, four-door, front-wheel-drive compact car available in coupe, sedan, or convertible body styles. The model successfully competed on the market due to its affordable and reasonable price.
Technical features
The model received a 4-cylinder in-line engine with a working volume of 2.2 liters, which produces a power of 115 horsepower. Of course, such filling does not allow you to occupy top positions in acceleration. For the improved configuration, a 4-cylinder in-line power unit with a working volume of 2.4 liters is provided. The motor produces up to 150 “horses”. Both engines are combined with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
A 4-speed automatic transmission option is also available for the Z24.
The car is equipped with front disc and rear drum brakes.
Depending on the modification, the car is equipped with a cruise control option. The anti-lock brake system became standard equipment. The option of daytime running lights is provided. The car has airbags for the front row. Each seat has seat belts for the driver and passengers.
Electric mirrors and keyless access are provided for top models.
