2006 Chevrolet Tahoe Owner's Manual

The creators of the third-generation Chevrolet Tahoe paid great attention to detail in order to ensure maximum driving comfort. The frame is stiffer (49% stiffer than its predecessor), which improves the handling of the vehicle and makes the ride smoother.
The rigidity of the frame contributes to the more precise and finely tuned chassis and suspension components, which also reduces vibration and noise levels in the Chevrolet Tahoe. Even the tyres on the 17-inch or 20-inch wheels are made with special technology to reduce noise levels.
The Chevrolet Tahoe features solutions such as filling voids in the body parts with special foam. In order to reduce the noise level under the bonnet, the alternator has been redesigned and the engine is covered. Noise and vibration levels are kept low by the Autoride suspension, which is available at LTZ level. The suspension consists of a two-position damping system that responds to changes in road conditions and driving style while driving.
