2011 Chevrolet Malibu Owner's Manual
Chevrolet Malibu (Chevrolet Malibu) is a front-wheel drive sedan of the βDβ class, built on the global platform of General Motors Epsilon II. The world premiere of the eighth generation of the model took place as part of the Shanghai Motor Show in April 2011.
Working on a new generation of Malibu, American designers tried to make the car more aggressive in appearance. That is why some of its elements are similar to the legendary Camaro, but this is only an external resemblance. Careful study of every detail of the body made it possible to achieve good aerodynamic performance. So, the drag coefficient of the sedan is 0.28, and special dampers are installed in the front of the car to improve the flow and distribution of air flows.
The eighth generation Malibu is 13mm shorter than its predecessor, 68mm wider and 12mm lower (4859, 1854 and 1462mm respectively). The length of the wheelbase was also reduced from 2852 to 2738 mm, however, the fundamental design of the “cart” remained the same – McPherson struts in front and a “multi-link” in the back. However, the suspension geometry was reconfigured, other shock absorbers and silent blocks were installed, and the steering was equipped with electric power.
