1996 Chevrolet Astro Owner's Manual
The basic configuration of the 1996 Chevrolet Astro is equipped with a V-6-cylinder power unit with a displacement of 4.3 liters and 190 horsepower. The engine is mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. The new van has an improved gearbox that allows for easy and smooth gear shifting.
The level of safety is increased thanks to the airbag system and ABS. The updated model is protected against theft by a security system.
The bumper has a three-dimensional shape and emphasizes the confidence and endurance of the car. The headlights are divided into segments: headlights, daytime running lights, and turn signals.
The interior has comfortable seats. Despite the compact appearance of the seats, it is comfortable to sit not only in the front row but also in the back. There is rather limited legroom in front, so a tall passenger will not be quite comfortable.
In general, the cabin is quite spacious, with an air conditioner providing a comfortable microclimate. And the rear row of seats can be folded down if necessary, which will free up space for luggage.
The updated model received daytime running lights, which increased the level of safety while driving. The LT model is equipped with leather upholstery.
A three-channel HomeLink transmitter is installed in the cabin. For passenger models, the option of illuminated entry and exit is available.
