2017 Chevrolet Silverado Owner's Manual
To meet the high competition, the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado is equipped as well as an executive sedan. There’s cruise control, dual-zone climate control, seat ventilation, keyless entry, heated steering wheel, and a fully leather interior combined with natural wood, and Bose audio system, and even a projection display is available.
As before, the “truck” has several versions: Double Cab Std. Bed (one-and-a-half cab with standard body), Crew Cab Short Bed (double cab with short body) and Crew Cab Std. Bed (double cab with standard body). At the same time, General Motors claims the Silverado pickups are the most spacious in the class. The volume of even the shortest version is 1784 liters, which is 20% more than the competition.
Under the bonnet, a new 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine has found its place for the first time. In the words of the manufacturer it is a completely new “cargo” engine designed specifically for this class of vehicles. Its output is 314 hp and 473 Nm of torque. In addition, the truck has received two upgraded V8 engines with a capacity of 5.3 and 6.2 litres with Dynamic Fuel Management system, which can turn off “any number of cylinders”. Power output of these units is 316 hp. 519 Nm and 426 bhp. 621 Nm respectively. In addition to these power packs and the 3 litre Duramax diesel, the old V6 4.3 and V8 5.3 engines with ‘half’ cylinder deactivation are still available.
